Walid Jafari is a self-taught artist; he was born in Ramleh- Palestine. Jafari is versatile person. Apart from being an artist, he is a researcher and essayist wrote and published many books, researches and articles about Middle East Affairs. He holds PhD in political science and economics from Exeter University in the UK. In addition to this, he contributed noticeably to various media activities most of which were script writing for Dubai TV. He is currently working as an economic expert for Dubai customs (UAE).

 Jafari began painting late in life but writing began to take up most of his effort and time as a career and source of income. Yet the power of color and the strong desire to express himself accompanied him all the time until he had the opportunity to unleash the potential artist inside himself in May 2002 when he held his first solo exhibition in Dubai.

 Since 2002 until 2004-jafari participated in five joint and group exhibitions as well as two solo exhibitions, all held in Dubai and Sharjah (UAE).

 Through experimentation, he created his own style and technique by his special mixed media, which makes the acrylic color, and drawing ink seems to the viewer to be ceramic art and three-dimensional works.

 His unique style was highly appreciated by critics. The well-known British artist, former Chairman of Dubai International Art Center, Christopher Southcombe said "I am immediately taken with the sense of harmony not only from the individual painting but from each group of paintings in the wall of the Gallery. The technique he has developed is intriguing & pleasing … “
